"The
annual gala is our largest fundraiser of the year. It is an adult-only
event that includes hors d'oeuvres, open bar, a four-course dinner,
dessert, and music and dancing. The gala is a wonderful opportunity to
meet and socialize with other parents at the school. We also encourage
you to bring family, friends, and co-workers. Because our school is a
not-for-profit organization, we rely on fundraising for expansion and
improvements. Our goal is 100% parent attendance at the gala!

In addition to dinner and dancing, over 100 auction items will be
available for bidding. Opening bids start well below actual value, so
this is a great opportunity to purchase some outstanding items for a
fraction of their actual value. Auction items include house wares,
artwork, jewelry, photography packages, services, classroom projects,
gift baskets, and more. Classroom projects will be on display for
bidding prior to the auction, but all auctions are closed at the gala so
make sure that you attend so you won't miss out on these priceless
treasures.

In addition to the silent auction, a live auction is also included for a
small number of higher-priced items. Past silent auctions items have
included a trip to Costa Rica, fine jewelry, fine art, and a Persian
rug.

Raffle tickets are also sold in association with the gala. First prize
is $1,000; second prize is $500, and third prize is $250. Tickets are
$10 each or 3 for $25. Please consider purchasing some raffle tickets
for yourself as well as offering them to family and friends.

This year's gala will be held on Saturday, February 2 at the Stone
gate in Hoffman Estates from 6:30-midnight. Mark your calendars
now. If you would like to donate goods or services for the auction or
if you are interested in advertising in our gala program and newsletter,
please contact the PTO at PTO.MSNH@gmail.com.
